Guelphview Dental – Accepting Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) Patients

At Guelphview Dental, we’re proud to be a part of the new Canadian Dental Care Plan in Georgetown. If you or your family qualify for CDCP coverage, our clinic is here to help you access affordable, high-quality dental care. Our goal is to ensure every patient in Georgetown and the surrounding communities has access to the care they deserve.

Who Can Apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Eligibility for CDCP is based on income and age groups. Applications are currently being rolled out in phases:

Note: All eligible Canadians will be able to apply online by 2025.

Can I Apply if I’m Already in Another Program?

Yes! If you’re already enrolled in other programs such as Healthy Smiles Ontario or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and qualify for CDCP, you can still apply. Benefits will be coordinated between the programs to ensure your coverage works together

What Services Are Covered Under the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The CDCP covers a variety of essential dental services, including:

  • Fillings, root canals, dentures 
  • Extractions and other oral surgery 
  • Cleaning and other preventative services 
  • Exams and x-rays 
  • Other preventative, restorative, and dental treatment services  

 Some services (like crowns or deep sedation) require preauthorization from your dentist. These additional services will become available starting November 2024.
